• HOW TO USE FOR HAIR: Apply origenz castor oil on your scalp & massage gently in circular motion leave it for at least 3 hours before the hair wash. My Take :

Stretch Marks appears during pregnancy or when a person grows or gains weight. Fine lines appear on body due to rapid pulling or stretching and are called stretch marks. It is an indication of increase in cortisone in body which causes loss of elasticity of skin. Stretch marks often fade with time and may take couple of years in few cases. While no treatment can make stretch marks disappear complete, it is important to nourish the skin

Cracked heels appear due to sudden weight gain, weight loss, winter weather, dehydrated skin, hydrated skin or with use of harsh drying soaps on feet. It is important to nourish and hydrate the skin during Cracked heels before it bcomes severe and start bleeding. Shubhr Body Massage helps to hydrate the skin and improve appearance of Cracked Heals.

It could be effective to improve appearance of Stretch Marks, Scars, Cracked Heals and Uneven Skin Tone.   My take – I am using this facial serum on a regular base at night, use 3-4 drops of oil and massage it on your face and leave it overnight. It does not have artificial colors. Now coming to my experience of using the serum. I am using this serum from 10-15 days. It has worked on reducing the dryness and flakiness to a great extent. It was so surprising for me to see a glowing face every morning after I wake up. My face looks so hydrated and pumps up in the morning. It has also worked on the dullness and has helped a lot in getting back evenly tone skin. On price point, I feel it is worth investing in this oil.

My take – Deyga Rose & Mulethi Skin Brightening Pack comes in very eco-friendly packaging. It comes in a cylindrical cardboard box inside that is a glass jar containing a face pack. It has a screw up cap on it. Facepack comes in a powdered form and you have to mix a tablespoon of face pack in a few drops of milk, water or rosewater and apply it on full face and leave it to dry. I am using this face pack for a month now. I apply it once a week. It has a very mild fragrance of rose and mulethi. I leave it for around 15-20 mins and then wash my face. It also acts as a mild exfoliator as the face pack granules are not fully powdered. It makes my face look very supple and clear. Also, I must say the quality of the face pack is superb and it is 100% pure. You can’t find the difference in your skin after 1st use, you need to use it consistently to notice the difference. It has helped me a lot in getting rid of blemishes. When it comes to acne I can’t say anything because I don’t have acne-prone skin so I have no idea. One thing I have to say is it is not ideal for dry skin as it tightens the skin and also helps in controlling oil. As per the price, I felt the quantity and quality both are amazing.

My Take : First of all I loved the packaging and the box that it came in. That was really very cool. The presentation was excellent. The bottle comes with a very easy to open cap. It disperses a nice amount of cream which has a very nice fragrance. It’s not a distinct smell, but a clean smell. It applies nicely, not leaving an oily feel that some other lotions do. After a couple of days of using this cream, I feel like the skin on my neck and upper chest area looks and feels smoother and less wrinkly.

This is a dual use skincare product which is sulphate free & paraben free, which can act as a exfoliator and face mask. It can also be used as a mask before the exfoliation, just leave it on the face for 10 minutes before rinsing off properly. When used as a mask, since it’s enriched with Aloe vera extract, Jojoba oil and Argan oil, it helps to tighten skin leaving you with younger looking Glowing skin.

Directions for Use: 

This is a 2 in 1 product which can act as a Exfoliator or Mask or as both.

For use as an Exfoliator: Use a pea sized amount and mildly scrub your face and then rinse with Luke warm water.

For use as a Mask: Apply an even coat of the product all over the face and leave for 10 mins , and then rinse off.

For  scrub + mask Benefit: First Exfoliate your skin , by using it as a scrub. Rinse off partially and then  evenly apply the product to let it work as a Mask. Rinse off and Pat dry.

My take on product– This is an amazing product. I liked It’s two in one product ( facial plus mask) property. It’s not harsh on skin like the other scrubs. I apply it as face mask leave it for 10 to 15 minutes then scrub it off and my skin just brightens up it look glowing and healthy. It gently exfoliates as scrubbing particles are very soft on skin. Just fell in love with the smell. It leaves the skin moisturised and that’s what we need especially in winters. Totally worth it.

Now look for Nail Lacquer – Scarlet Ruby

Packaging-  Its super cute, very practical, glass cylindrical shape bottle and the brush is a great size, neither too big nor small.

Ingredients- Natural ingredients with seaweed extracts.

Price- INR 295/- for 8 ml

Formula- Gel, It doesn’t get thick, collected, or runny while applying which makes it more easy to use. The nail paint contain sea weed extract which are supposed to promote nail growth and also make the nail paint last longer.

It took about five minutes for the shade to dry off once I applied them.

Quick Tip: Once you apply your nail paint, dip your fingernails in cold water. This will make the polish dry faster, add more gloss to your nails and will prevent any finger prints or other marks being embossed onto your nails.

The shade was highly pigmented and easily covered my nails in one coat.

This travel friendly nail enamel bottle holds the strong fragrance but that is really not a con for me but for sensitive nose, it might be a problem to hold that. The brush applicator gives a smooth finish to your manicure. The nail polish is completely loaded onto the brush, which doesn’t trouble you to dip the brush again and again in the bottle.

DeBelle nail polish has unique feature of long-lasting stay with gel base formula. Also it does not require UV light. It contains natural Seaweed Extract that helps to promotes nail growth and lets your nail to breathe.

 

My experience- It was very easy to apply, quite thick as compared to other gel polishes and I could get a great color in just 2 coats, very opaque and shiny. It lasted very well, no chipping till 3 days without any topcoat, which is major!!!! DeBelle polishes are rich in  sea weed extract which is a natural marine algae that is great for the health of nails, of course what I read if you use products with sea weed over a long period your nails become stronger and shinier.

If Darjeeling Tea is the champagne of teas, Margaret’s Hope Darjeeling is the Krug of Darjeeling Teas. Margaret’s Hope tea estate is a world famous tea estate established in 1830. It is known to create some of the most agonizing teas. This cup is yellow in color and sweet bubbly in taste wit mouthful feeling.  A premium tea from the snow- capped Himalayas with a mild floral finish.

My Take:

Tea Heaven is a completely Indian brand with a wide array of premium teas (with no caffeine) to choose from – both as tea bags and as loose leaf.
They claim that their teas are directly sourced from the estates where Tea is grown and processed. This eliminates the long process of 4-6 months, all middlemen and degraded quality of tea leaves.
How it felt : The flavor is very stable across all bags. Steeped for three minutes or so offers a good strong tea flavor and aroma. Steep a couple of bags and I’m in heaven. I have not found this tea to be bitter as you sometimes find, and it has better taste than other brands. I felt refreshed after having it. It is packed with Natural Ingredients and Antioxidants, Gives Instant energy, Keeps Heart Healthy and Burns Fat. Best part is you can enjoy it at any time of the day. My Take : 

Essential oil of rosemary and tea tree are well known for skin benefits. This product had helped me to get rid of dark spots up-to much extent. And I recommend to u all. I found the benefits in this cute handy toner which effectively hydrates and tones up my uneven skin. Having a good toner is a blessing, thanks to Aaranyaa.

• Mild and sulfate free, this cleans pores and effectively balances oil and leaves a happy breathable skin. Best thing is the tea tree oil which is proven to prevent formation of bacteria and microbes on skin. Price worthy and beneficial.
• The Tea Tree Face Wash is meant for normal to dry skin and contains tea tree oil, which is an all in one cure for most skin issues. I am thoroughly impressed that Aaranya has created a face wash with tea tree oil which is suitable for dry skin because most tea tree oil ranges that I have encountered are meant for oily skin. I usually have oily skin. The antibacterial properties of tea tree oil in a moisturizing face wash is something new for me and I am enjoying it a lot. As an added bonus, this face wash has a citrusy scent and a cool green packaging which I absolutely adore!

• This Face scrub, made with activated charcoal and essential oils of Lemongrass and Eucalyptus, gently removes dead skin cells & dirt and re-energizes the skin. This scrub contains anti bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti oxidant properties. Periodic use makes your skin soft, supple and glowing.
• Enriched with essential oils and charcoal. This scrub is doing wonders to my skin by gently removing dead skin and dirt. Makes my skin supple, soft and glowing from the very 1st use. Corrects acne and skin problems due to its anti bacterial, anti inflammatory and anti oxidant properties. One of a kind.

This mousse foundation comes in a cardboard box. When you open it there is a beautiful Cube jar inside. The packaging is absolutely stunning. It’s not the regular foundation packaging but very different.  However the lack of pump dispenser makes it a little unhygienic as everything you want to apply this foundation you have to dip your fingers in it. But the looks of the packaging wins over everything. 😛

This foundation comes in four different shades.

The mousse consistency of the foundation looks like whipped cream, hence It’s very smooth in terms of texture. It blends very easily and smoothly and almost feels like velvety butter. As a result, am totally sold out with the foundation in terms of its texture. (love, love).  I am glad that I picked this shade as this shade tends to oxidise a bit after an hour or so. Therefore, it’s a perfect match for me.

This foundation offers sheer to medium coverage. You can’t build the coverage with this, or else it ends up looking caky on the skin. This foundation does not cover any marks or blemishes on the skin. Hence, for that you may need a separate concealer. I feel this foundation is good for everyday use as it is feels light on the skin and at the same time stays for a good amount of the time. It also controls skin oils really very well.

This foundation will work for beauties with all different skin types be it a normal, oily or combination skin. This foundation stays on my skin for a good 7-8 hours maximum and then it starts fading from the place where I generally get oily that’s my t-zone area. Touching up with a loose powder or compact increases the wear time.

4. Step 4: Even apply it all over your face. Don’t forget your neck area.

The actual powder foundation is in a cute rose gold reflective case which is round at the bottom. I really like the rose gold lid of the case, it looks very classy. The bottom is made of plastic to avoid any damage. The lid closes tightly and hence it is travel friendly.

It has 2 compartments in the case, one carries the powder pan and the other carries its puff.

It comes in total of 4 shades, which are all meant for Indian skin tones. 

Staying Power

This stays on my oily skin like forever. Whenever I set my foundation with it, my makeup lasts longer and I don’t feel any need to touch up even after 4 to 5 hours of application. It sets my foundation completely. I also use this to set my under eye concealer and it does set it and prevents my concealer from creasing.

Overall Verdict

Staying power of it is really amazing. Oily skin girls like me will love using this to set their foundation. Overall I loved their packaging, staying power and texture. I will definitely recommend to try these.

My Take :

 

The bottle of magic contains Hyaluronic Acid, 20% Vitamin C suspension, Vitamin  E and extract of Gotu Kola.

Gotu kola is a plant belongs to parsley family.

It is highly effective on reducing Fine lines, Anti aging, Blemishes, Wrinkles. A bottle for youthfulness. With all being said, they are few aspect one must look while buying Vitamin C or preventions while using it.

Always build it up, start with less concentrated products, generally they comes in 5%, 10%, 15% & 20%.

• If Your using for hyperpigmentation, if it’s not hormonal and rather due to constant sun exposure it will cure but be patience, give it at least 3 weeks.
• Its safe to use twice, if you are using in morning apply Vitamin C after toner then pack it with sunscreen and at night apply it before moisturiser.
• Since Vitamin C is concentrated  form, the colour may varies for prolong use, ideally it should be pale yellow or clear, if any other colour apart from mentioned one then throw the bottle.
• Vitamin C oxides, it changes it colour. Ideally they come in dark coloured bottles, and always keep then away from sunlight.

I would totally recommend Kova Organics Vitamin c, it’s safest and one of purest products which I have used.

Plz don’t skip Sunscreen, or else it will have reverse effect.

A very easy going snack,I eat it while reading a book or while watching a movie or sometimes ever when I get mid night hunger pang! Chakh-na has become my favourite snack in a few days. It has the perfect blend of the Indian spices we use in our homes which makes it impossible to get bored of.Coming to the health benefits, soynuts are rich in protein and fiber. Godesi has taken an extra step to keep the nutrients intact by roasting the nuts and not frying it. Infact they haven’t used any preservatives. Even the packaging is not entirely plastic. HOW TO USE :

Wet your hair thoroughly with warm water to open your hair cuticles. Apply a generous amount of the shampoo to the length and volume of your hair. Gently massage all over your scalp and tresses with fingertips for 2-3 minutes. Wash with plenty of lukewarm water. Once all the shampoo is thoroughly rinsed, follow up with a quick cold water rinse for smoother and silkier hair.

It is suitable for all hair type.

 

My take : Dead cells and residues of chemical laden styling products and treatments lead to scalp buildups that result in dull, limp and lifeless hair. Rough handling and chemical based styling treatments also damage and weaken hair’s structure leading to thin and split ended hair. This shampoo has two powerful ingredients: activated charcoal and hydrolyzed keratin protein. Rough handling, styling treatments and chemical-laden products also damage and weaken hair’s structure that’s made up mostly of a protein called keratin. Debelle Skin Moisturisers (Orange Blaze and Cocoa Blush) & Gel Nail Lacquer (Blueberry Bliss) – Review

Hello all, Today I am going to review another products received from the brand DeBelle.

DeBelle is a brand of AGS INC. Bangalore, India. DeBelle has launched a range of beauty, and skincare products in the market infused with natural extracts and ingredients.
‘DeBelle’ which stands for ‘The Beautiful’ in French, is a customer-driven cosmetic company, whose goal is to create unique natural based personal care products. And hence their motto is to ‘Bring out the Beautiful you’.
While personal care has always been the priority to introduce to their customers, they provide multi-benefit solutions through each of their natural care products.

So let me start with the review… Earlier I had reviewed Green Tea and Blueberry burst, Now I have received two variants of moisturisers, in collaboration, i.e, Orange Blaze & Cocoa Blush. Also received Debelle Gel Nail Lacquer, Blueberry Bliss.

To start with let me review Orange Blaze & Cocoa Blush Moisturisers.

Their skin moisturizers which is available in 4 variants namely –  Orange Blaze, Blueberry Burst, Cocoa Blush and Green Tea Infusion. I have been using these from a while now.. In every season.

Packaging:- The DeBelle skin moisturisers comes in simple tube packaging. I like the fact that these tubes drops controlled amount of product. Overall the packaging is travel friendly and looks pretty good.

Product Description- For Orange Blaze – Energised with the goodness of Orange, this anti- oxidant rich moisturizer hydarates the skin, and gives a refreshing glow, for soft and younger looking skin!

For Cocoa Blush – Enriched with Anti-Oxidant rich cocoa extract, for soft and moisturized younger looking skin!

Ingredients- Cocoa extract, Arlacel, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteraryl Glucoside, Arlacel, BHT, Stearic acid, Cetyl alcohol, DC3021, Avobenzone, Niacinamide, Carbopol, Neolene PE, Mineral oil, Fragrance.

My take on product–

They have awesome fragrance; Cocoa blush infusion has a sweet fragrance while the Orange Blaze smells Fruity and Citric. These moisturizers have a pretty thick consistency; therefore little goes a long way with this one. The most important value is that they are anti oxidant rich and paraben free therefore they provide multiple skin benefits along with UV protection. Popularly Cocoa Blush has higher level of nutrients and anti oxidants in it which helps in brighter, supple and younger looking skin, while on the other hand Orange Blaze have arguably more antioxidants, known to give a refreshed, rejuvenated and glowing looking skin. These moisturizers absorbs into skin instantly without leaving a greasy effect. Post application it immediately makes the skin soft and smooth. Additionally these skin moisturizers can be used as day/ night cream and hand/foot cream which is amazing. These skin moisturizers works beautifully as a night cream, they do have thick texture but they don’t feel heavy on the skin. I also used them as a pre makeup cream as they are light weight and give a nourishing feel to the skin. As this cream is paraben free it is not over powering for oily skin like me and neither dry skin.  I believe its super important  to use a cream with multiple benefits in order to tackle lack of skin moisture issue and for that nothing beats the effects of an anti oxidant cream. I have been using them as a part of night regime for skin and they are actually doing wonders to my skin.

Now look for Nail Lacquer –

Packaging-  Its super cute, very practical, glass cylindrical shape bottle and the brush is a great size, neither too big nor small.

Ingredients- Natural ingredients with seaweed extracts.

Price- INR 260/- for 8 ml

Formula- Gel, It doesn’t get thick, collected, or runny while applying which makes it more easy to use. The nail paint contain sea weed extract which are supposed to promote nail growth and also make the nail paint last longer.

It took about five minutes for the shade to dry off once I applied them.

Quick Tip: Once you apply your nail paint, dip your fingernails in cold water. This will make the polish dry faster, add more gloss to your nails and will prevent any finger prints or other marks being embossed onto your nails.

The shade was highly pigmented and easily covered my nails in one coat.

This travel friendly nail enamel bottle holds the strong fragrance but that is really not a con for me but for sensitive nose, it might be a problem to hold that. The brush applicator gives a smooth finish to your manicure. The nail polish is completely loaded onto the brush, which doesn’t trouble you to dip the brush again and again in the bottle.

DeBelle nail polish has unique feature of long-lasting stay with gel base formula. Also it does not require UV light. It contains natural Seaweed Extract that helps to promotes nail growth and lets your nail to breathe. This shade is ideal to flaunt in summers, however pastel shades never go out of fashion and can be used through any season.

My experience- It was very easy to apply, quite thick as compared to other gel polishes and I could get a great color in just 2 coats, very opaque and shiny. It lasted very well, no chipping till 3 days without any topcoat, which is major!!!! DeBelle polishes are rich in  sea weed extract which is a natural marine algae that is great for the health of nails, of course what I read if you use products with sea weed over a long period your nails become stronger and shinier.

Ingredients – Aqua, Aloe Vera, Neem Leaf Extract, Holy Basil Oil, Vitamin E​

Neem & Basil essential oil prevent acne outburst & heal inflamed skin, cuts & wounds. This combination tightens pores, lightens dark spots & brightens the skin to give a more youthful look.

Usage:  Use these masks once or twice a week. Apply a layer of this mask even over your skin and relax for 15-20 minutes. Once dry, rinse with plain or cold water.

Packaging: It comes in a transparent tub with with a chromium lid over it. The lid contains the product name as well as the ingredient list which is quite simple. The gel is  green in color and has refreshing fragrance.

My take: Its easy to use as it has big opening. Spreads very easily and gets completely absorbed by the skin with a little massage. Should be usually applied during the night time before going to bed, as it helps skin to rejuvenate & show effects sooner. It doesn’t sting or irritate my skin, but rather it has a cooling effect. I had been using this gel since quite a while now, its really good. It is completely natural without any chemicals, so if you have sensitive or oily skin like I do this is a very good product, it is also very cooling if you have acne that hurts and it’s obvious that Neem works brilliantly for acne and acne scars. It has prevented my acne from aggregating in the past 1 week.

As we know, the importance of moisturizing and SPF in your daily skin care regimen! I got Fuschia Garden Lavender Day Cream with SPF 15. Fuschia has a variety of products from moisturizers, face masks, creams, serums and a lot more! I have been using this product for quite a while now, let’s see if it’s worth laying your hands on;

Usage : It is best to apply day cream on well cleansed skin, preferably after a bath. Apply the day cream on your face and neck with the help of gentle circular motions.

My take : The Fuschia day cream comes packed in a transparent glass bottle with a golden screw lid and comes with details regarding the product mentioned on the top and bottom! I love the lavender flowers imprinted on the top; the packaging is not very travel-friendly as the glass jar is prone to breakage! I hate dipping my fingers in each time and prefer using a spoon to scoop the product out! The packaging looks classy sitting there in my skin-care rack!

The cream is a lovely lavender colored light weight moisturizer that contains an SPF 15, which is great as using an SPF of 15 everyday is necessary irrespective of where you are and what time of the year it is; indoors or outdoors; summers, rains or winters! The texture is really smooth and spreadable and blends into the skin nicely as you massage it in. It gets absorbed into the skin without feeling heavy and leaves you looking like you just had a lot of water, I love the moisturizing properties this baby has and just love how nourished and healthy my skin looks post application!

I love how you don’t need a lot of product to go over your face and neck; less than a pea sized for me!  The Fuschia day cream works well with my oily skin and hasn’t irritated it or caused any breakout so far! Also, it smells of fresh lavender which isn’t artificial at all. It’s a good buy especially because it has a SPF, saves you the time to slather on sunscreen when you are in a rush! I also like to use this as a primer before putting on make-up and it works just fine!

OLIVIA ALOE VERA CLEANSING MILK

Product claims – This light formulation helps in removing dirt, pollutants and other impurities trapped in the skin pores. Aloe vera helps in repairing skin damage. This cleansing milk acts as a effective makeup remover, avoiding clogging of pores. It removes dead cells leaving your skin smooth and supple giving it a youthful fresh glow.
Price – Rs. 60 for 100 ml
Directions for use – Take the cleansing milk in your palms. Apply gently over face and neck. Remove after sometime with a soft cotton ball or tissue paper. Rinse with warm water for better results.
Ingredients – Aqua, Paraffinum Liquidum, Glyceryl stearate, Capric capric triglyceride, cetyl alcohol, sodium lauryl ether sulphate, fragrance, triethanolamine, acrylate copolymer, methylparaben, xanthan gum, disodium EDTA, propyl paraben, bronopol, aloe barbadensis leaf juice.
My take – I am a big fan of cleansing milk from many years. There is nothing quite like seeing how black the moistened cotton ball gets when you wipe the cleansing milk off your face and neck or hands and feet. And, for a while, your face looks really clean. As I like trying out new brands and prefer low cost ones, I was delighted to find Olivia Aloe Vera Cleansing Milk(100 ml) at just Rs. 60. Even though this is a small amount, it lasts long as you need very little. I find it best to use cleansing milk at night to remove all the dirt of the day. Wash off with tap water and go to bed feeling fresh and clean. Regular use might prevent blackheads but, be that as it may, we women use all sorts of creams and lotions on our faces and, unless we clean these off, our pores can get clogged. It is a light formulation which helps remove dirt, pollutants and other impurities that the skin collects all day, and which are trapped in the pores. The claim is that aloe vera helps repair skin damage, but I cannot say anything about that as I rarely use anything regularly. It is certainly a good way to remove make-up which can clog pores and does leave skin feeling smooth and looks glowing.

 

OLIVIA POWDER COMPACT

Product claims – Its a light pressed powder that keeps your makeup looking smooth. This oil- free powder does not clog your pores, absorbs excess oil and clearly helps improve the quality and healthy look of your skin. Gives a matte finish adding radiance to the skin and soften the look of lines. It lets your skin breathe.
Price – Rs. 100 for 15 gm.
Directions for Use – Press the powdered puff lightly onto the skin, starting at the centre of the face working outwards.
Ingredients – Talc, Kaolin, Titanium dioxide, Iron oxide and fragrances.
My take – I am using this product with shade 02 Natural Beige and I like it. It does what it claims. Gives a matte look. One needs to apply this on face and it does absorbs all oil & sweat from face and instantly the face looks bright. Staying period is around 5-6 hours after that one needs to reapply this on face.Ideal for daily use , good for light makeup when one does not wants to put too much makeup then products like this are useful 🙂 It’s price is in affordable range, less than products of other brands.
Also it has good shelf life of 3 years, So these factors make it a Must Try one.

 

OLIVIA MAKEUP STICK

Product claims – Instant waterproof foundation with sunscreen for all skin types.
By giving a smooth and uniform coverage on your skin it gives a youthful and radiant look all day long. Blocks harmful UV A-B rays. It is waterproof, Sweatproof having inbuilt moisturizer. Conceals dark spots and comes in 11 skin matching shades.
Method of application – Dab on face and spread evenly until uniform. For effective Removal use Olivia Cleansing milk.
Directions for use – Dab sticks directly or remove with fingers and apply on your face. Spread gently in circular motion from the center of your face. Apply as per need. Conceal to cover unwanted areas. Remove excess moisture with a tissue then apply comapct powder.
Price – Rs. 120 for 15 gms.
Ingredients – Ti02, waxes, pigments.
Shades available – Rachelle, Rachelle Rose, Natural, Natural Rose,Natural Earth, Touch & Glow, Peach Rose, Lining Yellow, Egyptian Light, Egyptian Dark, Burnish Amber, Pearl White.
My take – I am using Rachelle Rose 02 Olivia Instant Waterproof Make – Up Stick With SPF12 glides easily when applied and it does blends easily and gives shine proof effect on the skin. It claims to be a 3 in 1 product which acts as foundation, perfect base and concealer. I have used it as foundation and it did blends easily and provided a shine free look and did have light to medium coverage. If more product is build up it might tend to crease, So I haven’t used it as concealer as it doesn’t hide dark circles much and tend to crease. It does hide small spots and blemishes. It does remains intact under water and is waterproof and sweatproof to an extent. Good thing is it does have SPF12 in it. It does lasts for 3 to 4 hours later on can be fixed by touchups. It is the most budget friendly makeup stick in the market which can be used as a base or foundation, does have a artificial makeup fragrance to it, which glides easily and gives light to medium coverage.

I got two products-

My Mom uses it daily in night regime and she finds it effective in making the skin around her eyes beautiful, with reduction in wrinkles and bags.

My Hair Straightening Experience

Hi Folks, 😀 🙂

We girls always want that beautiful straight silky hair? Isn’t it? Of course, who doesn’t? I love curls and waves too but that-always-easily-manageable, beautiful and lovely hair that flows on your shoulder and that looks like bunch of peacock feathers when you walk; isn’t that every girl’s dream? Well, some of you may deny but many of you might nod in unison. Straightening is one of the best ways to have a silky straight manageable hair that will be a blissful experience.

Who should go for Straightening?

• Girls with thick, dense, curly or wavy hair.
• People who are having a solid 3 days break from work, cooking and other straining routines.
• Girls who not pregnant at the time of straightening, not having chums, not having cold or fever.

Who shouldn’t go for straightening?

• Weak hair or density-less haired women.
• Those who had other treatments like coloring or perming just a week back.
• Who are carrying, having chums are sick.
• Those with ammonia allergy and allergic to chemical treatments.
• Women who can’t take 3 continuous days break from all the jobs, hobbies, exercise, etc.

Types of Straightening:

Although there are several types and names said by various parlors, we can classify them as just two viz. natural straight, poker straight. Prefer natural straight if you want to have a natural looking hair and also if you want to dress up in traditional as well as modern attires. Go for poker straight if you want a completely modern, artificially straightened look ( Rebonding, Smoothing, Keratin)

Things to note:

• If you are new to straightening or any chemical treatment, inform your hair stylist that yours is virgin hair. He will use special set of products accordingly.
• Inform about the type of straightening you want poker or natural clearly at starting of the session.

My look:

• Salon:  La Contour, Sector- 18, Noida
• Cost: I can’t post the actual cost here. The ranges are between 3000-8000.
• Time taken: 2-4 hours (took 4 hours for me)
• Product used: Lo’real Paris
• Time Since I straightened hair: 1 month.
• Treatment: Hair Smoothing

After care:

There are certain steps that that need to be taken care after straightening your hair which your stylist might tell you however,

• No oiling or washing or bending or braiding the hair for 3 days from straightening.
• No braiding, oiling for one month.
• 2-4 hair washes mandatory per week.
• Hair Spa optional every quarter.
• Use only prescribed shampoo, conditioner or masque, serum, etc.
• Leave hair loose (no pony or braid) as much time as possible.
• Can do oiling with coconut oil, almond oil or can go for homemade masks with egg.
• Have nuts, vegetables and fruits in diet.
• Drink lots of water.

Final Straw:

The hair straightening is not permanent. This will last for a year or so. You need to retouch it (retouching costs less) every year , mainly for the new growth. Finally, it is in your hand and care that how you keep your hair. You hair seems to look long. Yeah, it doesn’t grow but it indeed looks longer comparatively since all the curls are pulled down to look straight. You absolutely have no need of combing or removing tangles on a tri-hourly or 5-times-a-day basis. Comb your hair once; it stays still till you retire for the day. You get a stylish look. Although straightening doesn’t change your facial look, it does make you look more stylish and trendy.

Some frequently asked questions –

1- Hair Straightening causes Itchy Scalp

Truth: Only if the chemicals used are allergic to you it may cause irritation or itchiness else there is no such known cases of sure-itchiness after hair straightening. Take a scalp sample test to pick the perfect chemical or brand that suits you.

2-After Straightening Hair Fall increases

Truth: Hair fall is normal for every hair. However the hair fall is not triggered by straightening but by the sudden smoothness and silkiness that you hair has got after the chemical treatment. Initial 1 month after straightening needs additional protection from dust, sun, pollution because you hair needs time to cope up. However ironing alone (temporary straightening) surely breaks your hair.

3-Straightening causes permanent damage

Truth: A perfect straightening from a professional with high quality products will have no or minimal side effects. Unless you try coloring, perming, straightening, all at one go you can be sure of no damages. Leave gap of at least 3 months between every treatment.

Debelle Skin Moisturizers Review (Blueberry Burst and Green Tea Infusion)

Today I am going to review another product received from the brand DeBelle. Earlier I reviewed nail paints from the same brand, this time; I got handy and super awesome skin moisturizers for these harsh winters.

Its winter setting, so have to gear up with all the weapons to combat the weather conditions. The favorite target of the cold and dry air is our beloved soft and supple skin *headbang*. The wind ensures all the moisture is stripped away from us, but we are smart girls and come up with new handy backups every now and then.

DeBelle  recently launched their skin moisturizers which is available in 4 variants namely –  Orange Blaze, Blueberry Burst, Cocoa Blush and Green Tea Infusion. So I recently got my hands on two of these skin moisturizers which I have been using for a while now…

Packaging:- The DeBelle skin moisturizers comes in simple tube packaging. I got two variants namely Blueberry Burst and Green Tea Infusion. I like the fact that these tubes drops controlled amount of product. Overall the packaging is travel friendly and looks pretty good.

My take on product–

They have awesome fragrance; Green tea infusion has a sweet fragrance while the blueberry burst smells fruity. These moisturizers have a pretty thick consistency; therefore little goes a long way with this one. The most important value is that they are anti oxidant rich and paraben free therefore they provide multiple skin benefits along with UV protection. Popularly green tea extracts has higher level of nutrients and anti oxidants in it which helps in toning of skin, reduces pigmentation and improves skin elasticity while on the other hand blueberries have arguably more antioxidants than green tea and are packed with vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E,  blueberries are known to give a youthful looking skin and brighten up dull or sun-damaged skin.  These moisturizers absorbs into skin instantly without leaving a greasy effect. Post application it immediately makes the skin soft and smooth. Additionally these skin moisturizers can be used as day/ night cream and hand/foot cream which is amazing. These skin moisturizers works beautifully as a night cream, they do have thick texture but they don’t feel heavy on the skin. I also used them as a pre makeup cream as they are light weight and give a nourishing feel to the skin. As this cream is paraben free it is not over powering for oily skin like me and neither dry skin.  I believe its super important  to use a cream with multiple benefits in order to tackle lack of skin moisture issue and for that nothing beats the effects of an anti oxidant cream. I have been using them as a part of night regime for skin and they are actually doing wonders to my skin.

I loved the packaging as it comes in a tube from which little amount can be easily squeezed out and used, hence, no wastage of product. It’s Hygienic and travel friendly as well, can be easily carried in a bag or purse. It does not makes the skin feel or look Oily, affordable in price, has good shelf  life and contains Niacinamide or Vitamin B3 which is too good for skin. Apply daily all over the body, especially immediately after bath.

DeBelle Gel Nail Lacquer Review (Mystique Green & Princess Belle)

I am back with another review…

As the festive season has arrived, every woman was having a thought of having beautiful nails painted with safe nail enamel. Today, I am introducing Debelle Gel Nail Lacquer, if you’re not familiar with, DeBelle is a brand of AGS INC. Bangalore, India. DeBelle has launched a range of beauty, and skincare products in the market infused with natural extracts and ingredients.
‘DeBelle’ which stands for ‘The Beautiful’ in French, is a customer-driven cosmetic company, whose goal is to create unique natural based personal care products. And hence their motto is to ‘Bring out the Beautiful you’.
While personal care has always been the priority to introduce to their customers, they provide multi-benefit solutions through each of their natural care products.

So let me start with the review… I had received two beautiful shades, in collaboration, from their Gel Nail Lacquer Range,

# Mystique Green (pastel green)
# Princess Belle’ (coral orange), which I may review in today’s blog post.

Packaging-  Its super cute, very practical, glass cylindrical shape bottle and the brush is a great size, neither too big nor small.

Ingredients- Natural ingredients with seaweed extracts.

Price- INR 295/- for 8 ml

Formula- Gel, It doesn’t get thick, collected, or runny while applying which makes it more easy to use.

The nail paints contain sea weed extract which are supposed to promote nail growth and also make the nail paint last longer.

It took about five minutes for both the shades to dry off once I applied them.

Quick Tip: Once you apply your nail paint, dip your fingernails in cold water. This will make the polish dry faster, add more gloss to your nails and will prevent any finger prints or other marks being embossed onto your nails.

 The Princess Belle shade was highly pigmented and easily covered my nails in one coat whereas, the Mystique Green shade needed at least two if not three coats to obtain full opacity.

This travel friendly nail enamel bottle holds the strong fragrance but that is really not a con for me but for sensitive nose, it might be a problem to hold that. Garry Creativity started in 2013. Initially it had handmade cards then expanded to handmade gifts, homemade cakes, chocolates, handicrafts and accessories. Garry Creativity specializes in handmade chocolates and cakes, handmade accessories, and handicrafts in particular at present.

I had received a bunch of delicious yummy handmade chocolates, a beautiful handmade card, and a fashionable jewellery piece i.e. earrings.

It delivers orders all over India except the chocolates which are only for Delhi, NCR region only. As the shelf life of normal chocolates are two months and choco truffles for a week.

About the packing– I received a parcel wrapped with two cute little Potli bags of red ( for earrings) and golden ( for chocolates) color in it along with a handmade card.

So let’s review each of the products one by one:

ABOUT CHOCOLATES – Chocolates were in golden Potli bag and five in number. Two were of square shaped, two of them like round small coins and one of them as a cute little white heart. The four of them with the geometrical shapes were wrapped in golden foil. The white heart was beautifully wrapped in a plastic covering. They all looked tempting from the packing itself. Chocolates were made of all the vegetarian ingredients and I found nuts in every bite of them. I liked them so very much as I love nutty chocolates with silky texture and they were completely upon my expectations. All of them taste great and delicious that you will get addicted and won’t resist keeping yourself away from them after eating one of it… The rich chocolaty taste along with nuts made it truly worthy. The little heart tasted a little creamy and mild and I liked its silky taste in mouth as it you will fall in love with this because it melts right away as soon as you put it on your taste buds. It was beautifully decorated with colorful sweet worms. They are nice for gifting purposes and yes a reason for happiness as you can gift it to yourself as well being a chocolate lover.

ABOUT THE HANDMADE CARD – Handicrafts and Cards are a real masterpiece for gifting purposes. A beautiful handmade card was another thing in parcel that was made of origami and printed pastel sheets. I received a thank you note in it from the Garry Creativity but you can have the customized cards and handicrafts depending upon your choice of selection and for the occasion you need, even you can choose from endless list of sheets which they use to have, for more of personalized touch.

ABOUT THE EARRINGS – Bohemian Style Knotted Thread Tassel Earrings are one of the hottest trends in tassel earrings nowadays. I have received such a beautiful pair in nice orange color which is a great pair of statement earrings and it’s good for pairing with any outfit on any occasion. I have seen people buying this brand often for regular skin care products and so I thought of picking up something. With winter almost here, I thought a gentle scrub and face pack for my oily acne prone skin would be a careful investment. I try and avoid scrubs and packs after my severe acne issues and limit them to only once a week. However, I love the smooth feeling after scrubbing which makes my pores look pretty manageable. This is quite a budget friendly brand like Himalaya Herbals and Everyuth.

I loved the catchy orange packaging and decided to give this a try. Read on to know my thoughts on the product.

There are two more sizes available, a smaller and a bigger one. The fragrance of this scrub is very pleasing and I reach out for this at most twice a week. The kind of granules it has makes it apt for all facial skin types and as a body scrub for sensitive skin.

Joy Skin Fruits Gentle Moisturizing Apricot Scrub has a creamy base, most apricot scrubs might look the same yet the granules it has is good enough for deep exfoliation. The scrubbing particles are tiny and uniformly shaped and they do not melt away in the process. Many people complain that these granules are harsh but I don’t feel so, rather they are quite effective. On clean wet skin one needs to pat the scrub and massage in circular motion. Joy Skin Fruits Gentle Moisturizing Apricot Scrub glides on the skin comfortably and does not irritate the skin in any manner. In a minute or two it is to be rinsed off.

This Scrub lives up to its genuine claims of imparting squeaky clean skin free from dead skin and impurities. Skin not only is freed from dullness, it feels smoother and softer to touch. Usually Joy Skin Fruits Gentle Moisturizing Apricot Scrub does not dry out the skin unless my skin has been behaving weird which is another impressive feature. I don’t think a scrub can do much for wrinkles in a short while as claimed but weekly use actually revitalizes the skin and helps it stay healthy and glowing. Also the pack mentions regular use, I do not think any scrub is safe to be used every day and that’s all.

My experience with Joy Keshar Chandan Fairness Face Pack:

It is smell is very pleasant though strong and it was the very first thing I noted about the product. Sensitive noses might not find the smell too easy to handle as it is quite strong but personally, I like face packs that smell nice while they dry as they aroma relaxes the mind.  It is very creamy in texture and has a face cream like consistency. It spreads evenly on my face. It takes nearly 10 to 15 Minutes to dry up completely but is not too stretchy to skin on drying which I really appreciate. So, in spite of having kaolin, it can be used in summers as well as winters.  It rinses off easily using Luke warm water. Pat dry and follow with a toner and lotion. I use this keshar chandan face pack two to three times in a week after I return from my work to do away with all the impurities accumulated during the day.

My skin feels super clean, very relaxed, refreshed and brightened after using this face pack. Clean skin can absorb nutrients better so; regular usage definitely improves the texture of your skin and can take care of day to day tanning also. It would not help with old and settled tanning.

Thankfully, I did not experience any break outs after using this face pack. However, its fairness and anti blemish claim is lame as expected. No product can make you fair it can just clarify your complexion.

My Experience with VLCC Snigdha Skin Whitening Serum: The serum is light weight and white in color. It is very smooth and a small amount of it (usually a pump) is sufficient for the entire face. I normally massage it into my skin for a minute or so. I usually use it immediately after washing my face with face wash. I normally skip the toning part but if you regularly tone your face you can apply it after toning.

I have been using this product for 3 weeks now. One bottle is sufficient for more than 30 days. After using this serum, I could see a remarkable glow on my face in first week itself. I have a combination to oily skin and have a mild hyper pigmentation on my cheeks, which is lightened a bit after using this serum continuously, not remarkable though. But it helped in overall improvement of skin texture and I like the natural glow it gives after using it.Overall it acts like a light moisturizer which penetrates the skin deeper, hydrates it well and gives a natural sheen while removing a bit of tan. Even my old acne marks have faded to some extent.
